Britney Spears is perhaps one of the most compelling figures in the pop music world. Once America’s Pop Princess, she also became renowned as a sex symbol, gathering attention around the world for her looks. Spears is ranked as the eighth best-selling female recording artist in the United States with 32 million sold albums certified by the Recording Industry Association of America. As of November 2007, Spears has sold over 83 million records worldwide, making her one of the world’s best-selling music artists. Spears first appeared on national television in 1992 as a contestant on the Star Search program, and went on to star in Disney Channel’s television series The New Mickey Mouse Club from 1993 to 1994.
In 1997, Spears signed a recording contract with Jive, releasing her debut album …Baby One More Time in 1999. The album established her as a pop icon and “bonafide pop phenomenon”, credited for influencing the revival of teen pop in the late 1990s. 2000 became a great year for young Britney as well. She won two Billboard Awards and was nominated for two Grammy Awards. Britney also had a boyfriend, and not just any guy, she was dating the gorgeous ‘N Sync member, Justin Timberlake.
After more albums and an attempt at a film, Spears started to become more known for her personal life than for her music.Spears began to gain attention for her bizarre public behavior, including incidents in which she shaved her head and drove with her baby on her lap. From a Pop Star Princess to a woman of rumor and scandals. She’s now facing a big meltdown of her career. Spears is now in a situation where the world is against her. After this everything started to go the wrong way for Britney. She was out partying a lot, and she was pictured in very bad conditions several times. Rumors came up that she was on drugs and it was obvious that she was drinking a lot of alcohol.
In the beginning of 2007 Britney was shaving all her hair off and she was also putting herself on rehab for the alcohol problems. She didn’t manage to stay away from alcohol and drugs though and in October 2007 she lost custody of her sons. In November 2007 Britney released her fifth album, “Blackout”. It ran up to number 2 on Billboard immediately and one of the singles ” Gimme More” was a huge success from the start. This year the star has starred on the TV Show “How I Met Your Mother” and she got great reviews.
After taking a brief time-out from the spotlight, it appears as though Spears’ career is perhaps in reboot mode. After appearing on a few television shows and releasing 2007’s Blackout, Spears is hoping to regain some of her past glory. Her next three albums debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, making her the first female artist to have her first four albums debut at number one. In late 2008, her sixth studio album, Circus, also debuted at number one.

Toy Soldier.
I am think of shooting a video of that with a look-a-like Britney (even tho i kno there will never be anyone like her)with this song. I was also thinking of using soldier outfits. And Britney would be beating/training the soldiers basically telling them she needs a real soldier. Britney would be in a very sexy soldier outfit. And a very fast dance step. And the mood is dark and gloomy. Her make up is also dark and heavy yet flawless.

What do you think of Circus-Britney Spears’s new album?
I woke up at 5 o’clock this morning to buy it…on itunes. I wanted to make sure I got it on my ipod before I got on the bus so I could sneak a listen during study hall.
And I LOVE it XD I feel like her style changed in her last two albums compared to the first two, but now I feel like she’s mixed her style from the first two with the style from Blackout. It’s pretty cool!

I agree, she WAS nuts, but I mean none of you people have given her a chance after she got over all that…you should watch the documentary that she just did on MTV. I don’t think you should give peoples opinions thumbs down. You didn’t even listen to the album, you just hate britney and that’s why you are giving them thumbs downs. Grow up.
I love all of the songs.. but mostly i like –circus, shattered glass and if you seek amy.. But mostly i like Shattered glass.. that was my favorite..and yeah i woke up at 3:30 just to get them.. lol and i accually did the same thing you did.. i had classes in the morning.. so i woke up really early just so i can get to listen to it on my way to classes.Britney spears Rock!!
