Montreal Jazz Festival – largest jazz festival across the world
The Festival International de Jazz de Montréal (FIJM), is commonly known as Montreal Jazz Festival, moreover it is the prime jazz festival all over the world
Montreal Jazz Festival is held once a year in Montreal, which is a popular city in Quebec, Canada, all through the summer season (generally at the ending of June as well as the start of July) and congregates artists from each and every corner of the world. It is classically attended by more than 2 million locals and tourists, who are fascinated by the exciting atmosphere, multiplicity of shows as well as by this city itself. Montreal Jazz Festival every year witnesses an attendance of around 2 millions people. Numerous parts of the central region of downtown of this city are closed for the huge traffic for around ten days, since outdoor shows are without charge to the huge public as well as on numerous stages at one single time, starting from noon and continuing up to midnight. The Montreal Jazz Festival was for the first time thought by Alain Simard. He had spent a great amount of his time, working with the Productions Kosmos and to bring artists for instance Chick Corea, Muddy Waters, Dave Brubeck, Chuck Berry, John Lee Hooker, Bo Diddley, and various others for performing at Montreal. In the year 1977, public had witnessed Simard teaming up of André Ménard with Denys McCann for forming an agency, which was identified Spectra Scène (currently recognized as L’Équipe Spectra), through the plan of fashioning a summer festival, which would take place in Montreal and would fetch several artists in concert at one same time.
Montreal jazz festival for the very first time was arranged in the year 1980, through the funds that were provided by Alain de Grosbois who belonged to CBC Stereo as well as Télé-Québec.

I am trying to find the “Peanuts” theme song (it’s a jazzy piano number – upbeat). Someone had incorrectly told me it was The Dave Brubeck quartet, so I bought his box set (5 CDs). While the music’s great and I really like a few songs like “Take 5″ I REALLY wanted to find that Charlie Brown song. Does ANYONE know the name of the song and who plays it?
